In memory of fellow Rebel, teammate, friend, Detective Constable Adam Cole's number #2 has been retired.
Adam passed away on Nov 27, 2018.
Adam Cole played with the Rebels for several seasons and was one of the long standing players. His energy, good nature and genuine enjoyment for the game contributed to a positive atmosphere on the team on and off the ice. As a Detective Constable of the Halifax Regional Police, he was often a game time decision, pending if the citizens of Halifax decided to behave and allowing him to leave work to play hockey.
He could turn on the jets and wheel in a straight line like no other, sometimes stopping in time to let the puck catch up to him. With such great sense of humour, allowing us to make cop jokes and him dish it back equally, he will be truly missed, leaving a void in the Rebels dressing room and on the ice.
Rebels Jersey #2 has been retired and teammates have sewn on a patch in memory of a great friend and teammate.
The BCEHL has also created the Cole Teammate Award in memory of Adam.
